An enlightened approach to getting closer to nature
Can we not all be certified dark sky sanctuaries, with the option of “tech-free” sanctuaries (Spotlight, 3 March)?
Technology is out of harmony with nature at so many levels. Nature requires so much more to thrive than a few reserves, hedges and wildlife bridges. We are surely fooling ourselves if we think life can coexist with these artificial radiations.
Technology is cutting us off from our rightful heritage; from health, knowledge and proper communion with wildlife and wilderness.
The night sky is a link to our true selves, and so very important. When we cut ourselves off from the grandeur of nature and the elements, surely we only impoverish ourselves?
