Figuring out the systems that politicians depend on

The feature on land grab in India states that Narendra Modi won the election in 2014 (6 January). Though this may be technically correct, he really did not win it; he only got 31% of the votes. Politicians have very strange ideas when it comes to voting; in British Columbia they regarded 58% as a loss in the 2005 vote on changing the electoral system.

Politicians will not change a system that got them elected; to get a better system, we must take charge.
