New government after 13-month feud resolved
Politicians have finally agreed to a new government after a lengthy feud that began in the aftermath of the Beirut port collapse last August, a catastrophic economic collapse and in spite of demands for reforms required to unlock aid. The administration will be headed by the billionaire and twotime former prime minister, Najib Miqati. The news was met with relief but little enthusiasm by citizens.
