Consumerism does not necessarily call the tune

I felt delighted to find an iconoclastic article about consumerism. (A spent force, 4 June). I have often felt like a voice in the wilderness. Now here is a five-page spread!

I can attest that a low-consumption lifestyle can be lots of fun. For 10 years I have participated in a network of musicians and dancers (average age, 65). Our activities do not affect GDP.
